Good data should not just answer questions, it should create questions. By changing views and making different comparisons, an active mind should react when something unexpected appears. Creating questions such as “Why is my rate of sale so much lower in Brand Y than Brand Z?” begins a process where we look at other variables such as price and distribution, to find out the WHY. If you just sit waiting for answers, you are missing the point and much of the fun. The real breakthroughs come when something catches your eye and your mind pursues it.
